4 out of 5 stars Worth my quarter   February 3, 2010

I am new to Kindle and was using it mostly for reading books. This guide showed me things about my Kindle I didn't know it could do -- like play games or check the time and available memory, get on the internet or send email. I'm sure I can find that info elsewhere, but this was well organized and an easy quick read. If I had to pay more than I did, it might not have been worth it. But for pennies, it was money well spent.

Just to let you know that if you use the Mobi pocket website only download free books. If you preview a book that is for sale it will work on your Kindle but when you buy it - it won't!
Only free books will work on your Kindle - how weird is that!

3 out of 5 stars Very Basic   February 1, 2010

This manual is very basic. I figured out all of this information in a couple of hours of just using my Kindle 2. Of course, I'd had a Kindle 1 for a while before that. Maybe, if you are completely new to the concept of the Kindle, this might be useful.

The beauty of the Kindle is that anybody (even a technologically challenged individual like me) can learn to use it very easily and very fast. So there is hardly any big news this product will reveal to anybody. Still, all the information it provides is correct and pretty exhaustive.

5 out of 5 stars Turning the page clicking noise!!!!!!   January 29, 2010

I love my Kindle except for the clicking noise to go to the next page. Is there a way to turn that off or silence it. Has anyone else noticed this? I read before I go to sleep and this is very annoying to my poor husband. And, it is very annoying to me.

I have been using this guide for several months. I come back to it again and again. I use it to refresh my memory on a number of shortcuts and as a jumping point to a number of websites including news and sport websites. Highly recommend.
