I am not sure which was better the writing or the story. Both are equally beautiful. A story of courage that was written with compelling depth and emotion. At times humorous and others profoundly sad. This book and the characters in it left a great impact on me and I will never forget its powerful message. I look forward to future writings by this very talented author.

I am in two book clubs, and this is one of the most entertaining books I have ever read. It is not a "classic" but it incredibly well written and the characters literally come to life off the pages. I can't wait to see the movie, surely one will be made.

This book was beautifully written, and I loved reading about the relationships between these women and their "help". This is truly a classic book which I have recommended to many friends who have also all found it extremely difficult to put down.

I LOVED this story. I loved the characters (well, I loved the ones the author wanted me to love) and I felt a sense of fear and worry on their behalf, just as the author intended. All I can say is WOW! KUDOS! and THANKS! for this incredible novel that entertained me and broadened my horizons.
