An easy read; a shortcut to the broader picture in Omnivore's Dilemma. Good advice for anyone wishing to know about healthy eating!
Don't bother April 29, 2010 L. A. Rankin (New England) 0 out of 6 found this review helpful
One paragraph or less, every other page. It should have been the last chapter of another book. Don't pay for it. I read in in 30 minutes.
Lower health care costs April 29, 2010 S. Lindley (BOULDER, CO, US) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
An easy to read book that doesn't hide the ball. If we would all pay attention to these rules the cost of health care should certainly go do. These are rules you can remember when you are actually out there buying food and eating it, not rules where you have to constantly be counting and figuring. For instance: Don't eat anything your grandmother wouldn't have recognized as food. Good one!
Essential Reading April 28, 2010 Bob (California) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book contains things that SHOULD be common sense, but are not. Simple, quick, enlightening read; and it's only $5! Totally revamped my interest in cooking, eating right, and even nature! Because of this book my life will be much happier and longer : )
Food Rules April 27, 2010 Mary Graff (Omaha, NE) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Once again, Michael Pollan is "right on the mark" with his advice. This is a quick read and I would call it the "best diet book of the year" with the simplest "dieting plan" anyone has devised. As usual, Michal Pollan delivers solid advice in an interesting format.
