5 out of 5 stars MAKES SENSE   March 10, 2010
T. Swallow
I found the book enlightening. Simple rules that made complete sense. I bought 2 extra copies to give away.

5 out of 5 stars Nice Quick Informative Read   March 10, 2010
John Smith (San Rafael, CA)
Maybe repetitive with respect to his other books, but this book is a nice quick, and well structured read. It provides some great simple rules that really make sense, and help bring us back in touch to what we are eating. Just having some of these rules in mind while shopping has made a big difference. Highly recommended!

4 out of 5 stars Health Enthusiast   March 9, 2010
david goodwin (California, USA)
Good information in a very very broad way which is goo for those who have little knowledge on health. Half of this book is what I would consider common knowledge, but then again i am a very health conscience person. Although most of the book was broad the rest of book however was very practical and very informative. A 4.5 Star Book for those trying to be healthier. It has nothing on Organic Foods which one needs to know how much healthier it is to eat organic or wild (it covers wild foods) foods.

3 out of 5 stars The common sense food handbook?   March 9, 2010
S. Ruo (Rhode Island)
For me, Pollan points out a ton of ideas that are in my mind common sense. I think this is a great book for the person who eats out 5-7 days a week and has no idea how to cook anything. Also a good book for people that think chips and pretzels is an acceptable dinner. But for the majority of people who actually have interest in a book like this, we probably already have a good idea of what we should and shouldn't be eating.

So, I'd say, it was just so-so. As the very least, it takes about an hour to read so it won't waste too much of your time.

4 out of 5 stars Nicely Done!   March 9, 2010
D. Vischer (Colorado)
Michael adds his sense of humor with facts that make real sense. Was just a bit disappointed there wasn't more detail or examples around the rules.
